The sun is out and we all know what this means… summer hijab fashion outfits time! I enjoy the chills of winter, the warm blankets and loads of mugs of tea. But when the sun peaks through the clouds after a lengthy winter’s month and the flowers are in bloom, the colourful picture you see through your window is just so uplifting. This is when I usually throw out all my clothes out of my closet and move the summer clothes to the front and bury the winter clothes to the back, until next year. This is also when we move our coats aside and bring out all the maxi dresses, colourful skirts, long shirts and cardigans. Not only does your clothing need rearrangement, but your hijabs too and not forgetting your abayas.
Speaking about abayas, I would like to share a few tips with you. If you have an abaya which has fancy cuffs and the rest of it is very plain, you could convert it into a dress. I’ve done it and it came out quite beautifully. All you need to do is add fabric above the abaya to make it look like a maxi dress style and there you have it. A modern take on the abaya. It will be a unique design and you’re guaranteed that you won’t see a duplicate on anyone else. Yes, we all know the horror of seeing someone in the exact same outfit as you, ha-ha! Sorry, I know in the moment it’s anything but funny, but I couldn’t help myself.
Oh… before I go any further… our previous article on hijabiworld, “Online hijab dresses fashion”, is a must-see article for all the ladies who love shopping online. It’s a feast for the eyes, no jokes! Go and check it out if you haven’t already.
Another great website for ideas on ways to wear dresses with jilbabs is justtrendygirls. I must say, their dresses by 27 dresses is so amazing. If I could, I would dress like that every day, then again, that would be inappropriate to dress like you’re attending a wedding every day, but who cares! It’s just too stunning for words.
Right, where were we? Oh yes, I did a search for hijab fashion for summer and spring, as I was looking for some inspiration. We are moving into spring now, I’m not too happy about it. I enjoy winter, even though I was born in summer, I know, I’m so confused! So, I found some photos on Islamic fashion and styles which can be worn by Muslims during summer. The struggle of finding Islamic clothing for summer is real! Western summer clothing almost always are sleeveless with low necklines and have transparent lace materials, very annoying, I know. But, don’t worry, we have some great ideas here for you. Wait, let me give you a taste of what’s to follow.
So, when I saw this image, it hit me, like bam! It’s almost summer, yay! Time for pretty dresses, cute tops, comfy pumps, dainty accessories and pastel coloured outfits. I just made a 360 from a few minutes ago… So, I found some cute outfit ideas in these images and also how to’s are quite popular. I have attached an OOTD YouTube video at the end of the article.
Colourful Outfits For Spring/Summer With Hijab Fashion
I must admit, I am not a big fan of floral prints. I always think it’ll make me look like an old aunty, since I am short and a bit on the bulkier side, ha-ha! How’s that description? I just insulted myself, but it’s fine… anything for a good laugh! That being said, I like the dress above with the pink flowers. I guess small flowers are fine. It’s the larger printed flowers that frighten me! This is pretty. I like the fabric band around her waist.
This is simple and stunning. The glittered fabric makes this a very versatile dress. Purchasing a dress which is versatile to wear is a clever buy. You want to extend the lifespan of your outfits. I know that sounds a bit weird, but realistically, who can afford designer wear for every special occasion? I would buy 1 or 2 essential dresses, like the one above. They can be dressed up or down, depending on the occasion.
Cute Outfits For The Sun, Sand and ICE-CREAM!
Yes, summer is all about strolling on the sand at the beach, soaking up the sun and then… sinking your face into a humungous sugar cone with vanilla/strawberry/chocolate ice-cream, with flake and Oreo sprinkles. But before we get to the beach, the first thing that crosses my mind and yours too, is, what do I wear? Well, many have their own style for the beach. Some like to wear maxi dresses, others would wear cotton pants and a cool sweater or dainty cardigan with wrapped hijab and a funky sunhat. Here are some casual outfit ideas with hijab.
Love, love, love the colours! Colourful clothing just gets me all excited, I love colours… This outfit is so girly.
Oh yeah, rocking the Chanel bag with matching gold shaded platform sandals.
The puffy sleeve on this jacket is so cute.
I seriously had no idea blue and red is a colour combination which is worn together, until quite recently. It took a bit of getting used to, but now I think I like it.
Now this is a great everyday style. It’s easy and comfortable and the headband is a nice touch to the look.
Refreshing Summer Abaya Hijab Fashion
There’s nothing quite as comfortable as an abaya. Many woman love wearing kaftan styled abayas in summer. It keeps you cool and looks very trendy.
This is more my style. The jewelled neckline and waistline is so beautiful. I would wear an under top underneath though, since the sleeves are transparent. Besides that, this kaftan is perfect for summer special occasions.
